Counselling & Art Therapy Services

At Sanctuary Counselling & Art Therapy on the Gold Coast, we support children, teenagers, adults, and older adults through a combination of creative and conversational therapies. Whether you’re experiencing emotional, behavioural, or mental health challenges—such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or stress—both art therapy and counselling offer a safe, supportive space to explore and heal.

Children’s Counselling & Art Therapy

Young children often find it hard to put their feelings into words. Art provides a powerful alternative language, helping children process big emotions, develop self-awareness, and express themselves in healthy ways.

Through age-appropriate creative activities, children can explore their inner world, reduce anxiety, improve focus, and enhance fine motor skills. Gentle counselling support can also be integrated to build trust and communication skills.

Counselling & Art Therapy for Teenagers

Teenagers are often guarded with their emotions. Whether they’re struggling with anxiety, identity, school pressures or trauma, art therapy and counselling help them feel seen and supported without judgment.

The creative process can relieve stress and open doors to reflection, while counselling sessions offer a confidential space to talk about relationships, self-worth, or life changes.

Adult & Seniors Counselling & Art Therapy

Counselling and creative therapy can be especially helpful during life transitions, grief, emotional overwhelm, or when facing loneliness, illness, or caregiving stress.

For older adults, engaging in art can promote mental agility, reduce pain or stress, and enhance memory and dexterity. Talking through experiences in a safe environment can also offer peace, clarity, and purpose.

Telehealth Counselling & Art Therapy

Counselling and art therapy are also available via Telehealth. If you’re unable to attend in person, we can meet via a secure video session.

Telehealth provides the same warm, professional support from the comfort of your home—whether you’re seeking emotional support, coping tools, or creative expression.

You’ll receive a simple link to join the session, and if art materials are needed, I’ll provide a list to help you prepare.
